What is a beard transplant?

A beard transplant is a surgical procedure in which hair follicles are taken from one area of the body (usually the back or sides of the head) and implanted in the beard area to increase beard density or to restore beard growth in areas where hair has been lost.

The procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia and can take several hours to complete, depending on the extent of the transplant.

After the procedure, the transplanted hairs will fall out within a few weeks, but new growth should begin within a few months. The method of extraction is via the FUE method and you can find more information here.
